Sonar
Three simple rules:
stand still to use your sonar
catch all the flies
run away from the ghost
I made this game in preparation for a gamejam, so I gave myself a theme to follow and 48 hours to work on it. I chose "waves" as a theme, since it was used in the Global Game Jam of 2017.
In the end, it took me a bit more of the given 48h, because I wanted to polish the game more, but still it was a really good exercise that taught me a lot.
The game revolves around the sonar mechanic, that allows the player to "see" the surrounding environment by standing still. However, every other element of the game forces the player to keep moving, thus generating an engaging and challenging gameplay.
